From the Great Plains to the sunny coasts, the most meaningful things in life are rarely built alone.

Growing up on the plains of Western Kansas taught me the value of relationships. In small communities, people know their neighbors. They make time for conversation, lend a hand when one is needed, and understand that trust is earned over time. Hard work matters, but so does how you treat people along the way.

Those values have followed me from Kansas to South Florida and throughout my career in philanthropy and institutional advancement. Working alongside donors, university leaders, boards, and mission-driven organizations taught me something simple: successful philanthropy is deeply relational. Behind every meaningful gift is a person with a story, a purpose, and a desire to make a difference.

I founded Hutchison Philanthropy & Consulting to bring that relationship-first approach to organizations doing meaningful work. Hutchison PC exists to help leaders strengthen their development efforts, cultivate genuine donor relationships, think strategically about growth, and build the philanthropic capacity necessary to advance their missions.

My approach is straightforward: listen carefully, understand the mission, build trust, develop a sound strategy, and work hard alongside the people responsible for carrying it forward.
